They are available here in the USA at craft and hobby stores, as well as Paper & Ink Arts and John Neal Bookseller. (see my "calligraphy supplies" page for links). I need a big grip because of my RA. My hands do not close, unfortunately. The new pen is crazy looking, but of course I want one now, : ). Quite novel, and I take your word for it that it is a winner. Totally beautiful. I have heard of the Bill Lilly pens from Linda but have never seen one before. Exciting. Hit the ground running in the Mainland and hosting a 60th birthday party for my husband on Sunday. Fun stuff! Happy Lettering, let us know all about the exhibit and the marbled paper.Jancalligrapherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14228789134603013155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6246047778873013396.post-82014452976787780162011-04-08T16:15:29.606-04:002011-04-08T16:15:29.606-04:00Great collection Jane, have a wonderful time in Ch...Great collection Jane, have a wonderful time in Chicago!jgrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02595976689687828149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6246047778873013396.post-82213460692105687642011-04-08T10:34:04.353-04:002011-04-08T10:34:04.353-04:00And to think some people collect little ceramic fi...And to think some people collect little ceramic figurines! I have only been doing pointed pen for a few years, so I don't have a very big collection, but I love every one of my pens and get very attached to them. My Ziller gray is cracked but I can't throw it away. David Ogden sent me a Bill Lilly pen and I love it, although it is so tiny in my hand that I can't use it very long with my arthritis. I'm going to pass it along to the next person I help to learn calligraphy.

I wish I had time to take the Metra into the city to see the CCC exhibit on Saturday. I'd love to meet you!

(PS: Thanks for the link! I want everyone to see how cool Jake's work is and how customized my pen is. He's a marvel, that's for sure!)Kim from Hiraethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16593935060666484046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6246047778873013396.post-62889661714405278572011-04-08T07:34:41.190-04:002011-04-08T07:34:41.190-04:00These pens are beautiful, but more so is the art y...These pens are beautiful, but more so is the art you create with them.

Sounds like you are headed for a wonderful weekend...have fun!Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15425904812918507490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6246047778873013396.post-68281488885960337482011-04-08T07:20:48.796-04:002011-04-08T07:20:48.796-04:00Hi Jane! I thought perhaps the top was actual stone, but to find out it's resin and can hold an extra nib is equally fantastic! Have a great time in Chicago, I'm envious of that little trip... I KNOW you'll have a great time! And yes, I'd LOVE to hear about that beautiful marbled paper. Take care, have a great time!
xoxoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
