Calligraphy Flourish Friday - Bookbinding

©Jane Farr Calligraphy & Design LLC
This is a little book structure I made recently under the patient instruction of Sharon Turrini.

The spine was a thin piece of wood which I painted brown.

It's a great structure for incorporating a cool, vintage button.

I haven't decided yet whether to fill the pages with writing or not.

I have been out of the studio.
If you have tried to contact me, I appreciate your patience.
I will be back in the swing of things very soon.
Have a great weekend!!

  2. Nicely done. Of course you have to write in it. It's not a book till it has something to say :-) Sandy

  9. What a wonderful book! I have wanted to learn to make a book for so long now - I need to just do it! I have several that others have made for me and I can't bring myself to write or do anything in them, for fear I will ruin them! ...that is the problem with pretty books.

    Have a lovely week!~~
