With time running out for 2009, I decided to just get 'er done. I used several, different acrylics: Golden's and Dr. Martin's Iridescent for the fronts and FolkArt for the sides.

Calligraphy Flourish Friday - Fruit of the Spirit
At the beginning of this year, I made a list of some things I wanted to accomplish. One of those things was to start a blog. Another was to create something to go on the blank wall in our half bath. The wall has been empty since we stripped the wallpaper and repainted it 10 years ago. I've had this package of nine, little 4"x 4" canvases for about half that time. Procrastination is my specialty.

Jane this looks beautiful! I love how you did each word, a piece of art on it's own canvas, and then hung them together to complete the verse. Really gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteJane, those are marvelous! I like them together in a square as well as hung on the wall in a line!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!
This piece is wonderful! I have been contemplating something alongs this line with several small canvases hung as one large piece. Thanks for the inspiration! I can also sympathize with the procrastination; it seems as though this happens so much to me, put off and put off then finally accomplish the task and wonder why it took me so long.
ReplyDeleteLove your work! Thanks for sharing.
WONDERFUL!!! I love the background colors and of course...the lettering!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done for the blog and the artwork, Jane! I'm inspired to look at my 'list' again... Rx.
ReplyDeleteReally nice, Jane! I love the backgrounds and the lettering. This would make a great exhibit piece. I don't know if you've ever considered membership in the CCC, but if you are a member you can submit work for the next annual Exploration exhibit held at the Newberry.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love those paintings! Your calligraphy is so beautiful! I just found your blog after seeing your comment on Martha's blog. I'm going to follow you so I can return often.
