Flourish Friday -Calligraphy Wedding Invitation

©Jane Farr Calligraphy & Design LLC
I normally don't do wedding invitation design, but when the bride is my beautiful niece, how can I resist?!

There was a whole lotta choppin' goin' on in the studio.

Followed by a lot of sticking.  (Love this 3M Scotch Advance Tape Glider!!)

Followed by addressing the envelopes and fulfillment....

...and finally the trip to the post office. Woohoo!  For the addressing, I used a Zebra G and Holbein gold gouache, mixed with a bit of Schmincke Rich Gold powder, a bit of W&N permanent white,  a touch of walunt ink, and the kitchen sink...haha. My photos don't capture the beautiful gold ink on the invitation pieces at all (PMS#8004).

But photographer Tiffany Dupree beautifully captured the happy couple!

  7. I'm simply stunned by the amount of effort that has to go into producing such a wonderful set of invitations, all hand-written in such beautiful calligraphy! Congratulations on achieving it - and what a lucky niece to have an aunt who loves her enough to do it all! :-)

  11. Stunning, gorgeous, and more! The design will make a great impression on the guests. The artwork is wonderful! Perhaps doing a job for someone you love and someone who obviously appreciates your talent is the key for creating such a wonderful stationary suite! With this in your portfolio you will be requested by many! Give yourself a lovely cup of tea or piece of chocolate and rest that talented hand!
