Flourish Friday - ZIG Chalk Pastel Pens

Today is my sister's birthday, so this is in honor of Kathy Jo. ;)
Happy Birthday Sweet Sister!

I did the lettering with a white ZIG Calligraphy Chalk Pastel pen. It goes on clear but turns white as it dries. You can see the last "S" isn't quite dry yet.

One end of the pen is a 3.5mm chiseled edge and the other is 2mm.

I added some yellow and pink dots for some of the crossbars using ZIG Writer Chalk Pastel Colours.

I dropped the outline with a white Uni-ball Signo.

It's also our niece, Kelly's, birthday today.
Happy Birthday, Kelly!
(and to anyone else celebrating a birthday!)

White lettering on kraft envelopes is still hugely popular. It's a happy and fun look, but using the ZIG pens on kraft paper is MUCH easier than pointed pen and ink!  I see Paper and Ink Arts has the ZIG Calligraphy Chalk Pastels in five additional colors. Check them out by clicking HERE.

Enjoy your weekend.
Go forth and flourish!
xo

  4. Had not heard of these. Are they called chalk because they look like chalk, or are they really made of chalk?

    1. Hi, Jan. The marks *look* like chalk once dry. These markers also work great on black paper. Hope this helps!
