I cannot believe Rachel will be graduating from Purdue in May! Tom and I are so proud of her. It is exciting to watch her as she prepares for entry into the real world. I did this piece with her in mind. The lettering was done with a Zebra G and Moon Palace Sumi. Using Photoshop, I layered it on top of a watercolor I did in a Jacqueline Sullivan workshop. I am going to make non-watermarked prints of this piece available for sale. Contact me if you're interested. Happiness #1:
I get to have lunch with California calligrapher Jody Meese!! She is in Indy to see her son compete in two events at the NCAA D-3 Swimming and Diving Championships...Go Mason!! Jody has a wonderful, calligraphy blog. Check it out by clicking here.

Pam Skora, a calligrapher from Ohio, will be staying with us this weekend!! We are both attending Rosemary Buczek's "The Illuminated Letter" workshop sponsored by the Calligraphy Guild of Indiana.
