I used my B6 Print Gocco. As you can see, wedding calligraphy can quickly overtake my studio. I love it!
I ran out of drying racks, but had to keep printing while the ink was wet. I had to arrange the envelopes so they could dry but not smear.
This is our invitation after we received it in the mail. The ribbon my niece found matches perfectly. Her fiancee found a post office (finally!) that would let him hand cancel all the invitations. They used vintage postage stamps. Do you see that our envelope has "Letters Mingle Souls" as one of the stamps? I love those little, extra, custom details!
Now, my only question is....where did the time go? I know she's 23, but when I look at her, this is what I see! Love you Taylor!!
Happy Flourish Friday everyone - enjoy your weekend. (Holiday weekend in the States!)
What a lucky gal to have such a talented aunt to make her wedding so special. You did an amazing job. The calligraphy is a visual delight and who would even think that a gocco did that wonderful printing job. Well done...and yes, time goes all too quickly. Enjoy the moments!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love them!! You did a beautiful job!
ReplyDeletegorgeous, jane! i love the bright, sparkly gold....and you have a heart of gold for addressing all of these for your sweet niece! happy weekend to you!! :))
ReplyDeleteThat's incredible work, Jane! The invitation is stunning. I love the layout, (been wanting to make a wedding invite in same layout actually!) I would LOVE to learn gocco! Where did you learn it?
ReplyDeleteWow... they are stunning!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post, very useful information, where you can find useful information on this topic?
ReplyDeleteJust absolutely beautiful. That is a very blessed and well-loved niece!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Jane! Your calligraphy and design is so beautiful. Love the picture of your niece too : )
ReplyDeleteYAY! I love you, too! And everybody is right--I am SUPER lucky to have such an awesome/talented aunt to create my beautiful invitations! I am actually having trouble getting people to RSVP because they want to hold on to their cards--I've had a few people just tell me whether or not they're coming so they can keep the whole set! :-) I know I've said it about a hundred times, but THANK YOU SO MUCH!
ReplyDeleteI was doing ok until I got to the photo and your comment!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou did some beautiful work!!!
Posts as Kathy but it's Mark :-)
Jane these really are beautiful. I can understand the people wanting to keep the invitations intact!! They are a work of art!!
ReplyDeleteHmm, my second try at commenting-- it didn't take the first time for some reason. Absolutely beautiful! I want to know your secret for getting those nice, fine lines on the Gocco, though-- my past attempts have been less than successful. Are you and the calligraphy guild going to be at Penrod this Saturday? If so, I'll try to drop by and say hi! I'll be in the Yellow section, booth 56.

So beautiful, Jane! And ya gotta love the gocco......so addicting. :) What a labor of love.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful job, Jane. Loved seeing the whole set. Love the gocco, but am not happy that they discontinued making all the supplies. This was a great use of the process.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fantastic! I am so impressed!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing! I know this post is several years old now but I'm getting into calligraphy and hand lettering and really love your work!
